My Inspiring Journey at English Olympiad™

My journey with English Olympiad™ began in 2018 — a journey that would soon become one of the most transformative chapters of my life. The English Olympiad, a global platform with the motto “Inspiring Leadership,” has reached over 190 million people worldwide in the past 12 years, promoting the importance of English as a bridge to global citizenship and leadership. With its presence in 100+ non-native English-speaking countries, a network of 5000+ Campus Ambassadors, and over 175,000 participants across three successful seasons, it has inspired a generation to lead the world through communication and conviction.

I joined this remarkable initiative as a Campus Ambassador in 2018, inspired by its mission to empower youth through language and leadership. A year later, in 2019, I advanced to the role of Sub-Organizer, contributing to several national and regional events in Bangladesh. During this time, I witnessed firsthand the unifying power of English — not just as a language, but as a tool for leadership and global connection.

In late 2019, my academic journey took me to China for my bachelor’s studies. There, I saw an opportunity to expand the Olympiad’s vision beyond South Asia. For the first time in the organization’s history, I initiated its activities among Chinese students and institutions, laying the foundation for English Olympiad’s presence in a new country. My efforts were soon recognized, and in October 2019, I was appointed as the first Country Coordinator for China at English Olympiad Global — a moment that symbolized not only personal growth but also the organization’s expanding global footprint.

In 2021, I was honored with a new responsibility as the Global Branding Executive. In that role, I proudly welcomed and collaborated with the first Global Branding Ambassador, Faatiha Aayat — a Bangladeshi-American child rights activist, climate campaigner, and award-winning writer who has spoken at the United Nations and Harvard University. Working alongside her reinforced my belief in youth-led leadership and the transformative power of communication to drive social change.

By 2022, during Season 3, I was serving as a Special Envoy for National Event Coordination in Bangladesh. That year, I visited more than 200 educational institutions across nearly every division of the country, directly engaging with over 100,000 students. Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, I shared the message of globalization, communication skills, and the importance of English as a tool for opportunity and empowerment in the post-pandemic world.

Today, as I look back, the English Olympiad has been more than just an organization to me — it has been a platform of transformation, purpose, and leadership. It taught me that leadership is not defined by titles, but by impact; not by borders, but by the ability to inspire others to dream bigger.

From being a campus ambassador to representing a nation, and then contributing at a global level, my English Olympiad journey stands as a testament to how vision, resilience, and global collaboration can shape leaders for a better tomorrow.
