Leadership, to me, has always meant more than holding a title — it means creating opportunities for others to rise. In my hometown of Feni, Bangladesh, that belief took shape through a youth-led non-profit organization called Help for Today — a government-registered initiative founded to empower young people to act for humanity, awareness, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As one of the founding advisers of Help for Today, I have had the privilege of guiding a dynamic team of passionate young leaders and volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to social betterment. Together, we have built an organization that not only responds to immediate community needs but also nurtures the next generation of socially responsible citizens.
From the very beginning, my role has been centered on training, mentoring, and inspiring volunteers. I regularly conduct sessions on leadership, career development, and effective community engagement — helping young people transform their compassion into organized action. Under our collective efforts, Help for Today has implemented projects that address humanitarian aid, public awareness, education, and environmental sustainability, aligning our mission with the global vision of the United Nations SDGs.
What began as a small initiative among a handful of motivated youth has grown into a thriving movement of changemakers in our region. Watching these young volunteers evolve into confident leaders has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Through Help for Today, I have learned that real leadership lies in empowering others — in helping them discover their purpose, voice, and potential to create positive change. Our journey continues, driven by a shared dream: to build a generation that leads with empathy, courage, and hope for a better tomorrow.
